Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Know what time of day you usually wake up. A sun alarm works by simulating sunrise. If you normally get up during the day, the light feature may not do anything for you.
Step2
Examine your life habits. Your body may override any alarm's attempt to get you up if you stay up late and get up early. Since you're spending more than you would on a normal alarm clock, you may want to change your habits so that a sun alarm will be effective.
Step3
Look at your sleep environment. Open curtains, or blinds, may allow light from streetlights and passing vehicles to enter your bedroom at night. This will not affect the sun alarm's performance as long as the lights are dimmer than your sun alarm's lighting.
Step4
Compare prices and quality. Search both stores and online vendors.
Step5
Test your sun alarm. Use it and check to see if it does its job. If it doesn't work, send it back according to the warranty. Make sure you keep the receipts, warranties and other paperwork that goes with the sun alarm.
