How to Be a Rebel

Rebels stand apart from the crowd and fight the urge to conform. They think and act outside the box and travel the path less taken. Follow these steps to be a rebel with a cause, to be yourself.

1. Fight the status quo. Rebel against the established order and fight to change the world.
2. Use clothing as a statement. Try alternative clothing. Experiment with unusual and outlandish fashion styles, since your appearance often is the first thing anyone notices about you.
3. Challenge established ideas and preconceptions. Assume what was correct for your elders will not work for you until proven otherwise.
4. Study philosophy, alternative medicine and multiple religions. Question everything.
5. Seek out unusual people who espouse different ideas. Consider their positions and evaluate their ideas on your own.
6. Explore non-traditional music, literature and art. Seek out the artists, writers and musicians to discover how they view the world and why. Assess if their vision works for you.
7. Discover what you want to do in life, not what others want you to do. Educate yourself and speak out on issues that concern you, regardless of popular opinion.
