How to Make an Eric Cartman Costume

So your child wants to look like the brash creation of Stone & Parker, South Park's irreverent Eric Cartman? It's easy to come up with an Eric Cartman costume. However, you might ask your child to resist the temptation to repeatedly scream any favorite slogans in Cartman's irritating voice.

Instructions

    • 1

Find the appropriate winter hat. Cartman is most usually shown wearing the same blue knit cap with the funny yellow tassel and fringe. You might want to just get a regular blue hat and add the extras yourself.

    • 2

Find yellow gloves. Apparently, it's cold in Colorado.

    • 3

Get a red jacket. The jacket and a regular pair of pants and shoes round out the Cartman ensemble. You might want to get a wide-bodied coat, as the Cartman physique is, well, round.

    • 4

Use pillows to stuff yourself in the appropriate places. A Cartman belly can be achieved with common household materials.

    • 5

Add extras like googly eyes or straight-line eyebrows for comic effect.

Tips & Warnings

  • The drawing of South park characters is simple: Cartman is essentially a collection of colored blobs. You could go with a two-dimensional Cartman mask and anything that fits you in the Cartman colors. You should be recognizable that way.

  • For the "Cartman Cop" look, try a blue jacket, an oversized "sheriff's deputy" star and a pair of large mirror shades. This comic representation matches the hilarious Cartman slogan of South-Parkian law enforcement: "Respect my Authoritay!"

  • Acting like Eric Cartman in public is not advised.
