How to Make a Han Solo Costume

So you want to be Han Solo? Aside from looking like the young Harrison Ford (the 80s was a long time ago), you can dress like the "Star Wars" hero with a few choice accessories.

Instructions

1. Get a white, open-necked shirt.

2. Add a brown vest. The signature Han Solo vest is not ornate and looks like something you can find in a local Salvation Army shop.

3. Wear dark colored pants and boots.

4. Find a weapon. Han Solo usually carries a "Star Wars" blaster. You can find some facsimile of this at a toy shop. You can also buy "Star Wars" weapons at some comic book collectible shops.

5. Serious "Star Wars" fans might consider incorporating the Corellian Bloodstripes into their costume. Corellia was Solo's hometown and, according to lore, he won a contest or rank that is symbolized by a dotted-red line down the side of his pants. You can add this to your with a needle and red thread.
