How to Make a Miss Piggy Costume

Miss Piggy is a popular character from the Muppets. You can create a Miss Piggy costume in about 30 minutes without doing a stitch of sewing.

Things You'll Need:

• Pink construction paper
• Headband
• Empty toilet paper roll
• Black marker
• Hole punch
• String
• Fancy dress
• Accessories, jewelry

1. Start the ears. Fold two pieces of pink construction paper in half. Carefully draw one pig's ear on each piece of paper. The base of the ears should end up right on the paper's fold. Carefully cut out each of the ears, leaving the fold intact.

2. Finish the ears. Wrap the folded end of each ear around a headband and line up both the front and back pieces for each of Miss Piggy's ears. Secure each completed ear with staples or glue.

3. Construct the snout. Cut the toilet paper roll in half and cover it with pink paper. Cut out a circle of pink paper measuring approximately 1/8 to ¼ of an inch larger than the end of the roll. Use a black marker to draw and color in two black holes for each of the nostrils. Glue the entire end piece onto the outer rim of the roll.

4. Assemble the nose. Use the hole punch to put one hole on each side of the Miss Piggy snout. Tie a string or piece of elastic onto each hole; wrap both pieces around the head and tie in the back.

5. Accessorize the costume. Put on the fancy dress and add the finishing touches to your costume. Miss Piggy wears a large pearl necklace, satin lavender gloves, glittery earrings, jeweled rings and fancy shoes. Add some glamorous fake eyelashes, a sparkly evening bag and shiny tiara to top it all off.
