Request application forms and financial support information from five schools. Review the materials in the application packet and narrow your possibilities down to three schools.

Register at Educational Testing Service to take the Graduate Record Exam. Unless otherwise stated, most universities require scores from this exam as part of the application for admission to this program. ETS provides free GRE exam preparation materials and study guide downloads on their main website. Purchase a personal copy at major bookstores or check your local library.

Complete the application and the admissions process for the fall semester by early December of the current year. Order all your transcripts as soon as you have selected the schools. Most graduate programs application deadlines fall between December and January. Many colleges close for the holidays at this time.

The Health Administration Master's and the Master of Public Health are similar degrees with different career paths. Some graduate schools offer both degrees, while others only offer the MPH.
