One of your best friends has decided to do the deed. Tradition dictates the need for a bachelor party. This takes some planning and effort, but your buddy will be thrilled. So call up your friends and start collecting cash--you have bachelor party presents to buy. Read on to learn how to buy a gift for a bachelor party.

1. Know how much you have to spend. There is a big difference between forking over cash for a big party with gifts and buying your buddy a six-pack and a condom. He is your friend, so suck it up. Spend the most you can afford.

2. Decide how badly to razz your friend. Bachelor party gifts often make fun of the upcoming marriage. Poke all the fun you want, but leave the fiancé out of it unless you know she can take a joke. Remember, when the partyis over, your friend still has to live with her.

3. Buy at least one gag gift. No bachelor party is complete without one. Consider a giant, gallon-sized liquor flask or a ball and chain set. If the girlfriend has a really good sense of humor, a T-shirt with her photo sporting a big, red X across her face.

4. Give an entertainment gift the groom will enjoy. Dancers are often preferred, but if that is out of the question, get a local band. If a band is too noisy for the location, pool some of the party cash and get him an iPod instead.

5. Hit your buddies up on payday. The party, food, liquor and entertainment are the main gift, and it is up to you and your friends to provide them. A groom never pays for his bachelor party present.
