This simple article explains how to find all the network connections within your area.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Windows XP computer
  • Some sort of network connection
  1. Step 1

    Click on the icon which looks like a screen in your icon tray.

  2. Step 2

    Once the icon was clicked, you are presented with a window which allows you to pick your connection.

  3. Step 3

    Once you find your connection, click the connect button at the bottom of the window.

  5. Step 5
    refresh
    refresh

    You can refresh of the connection list by clicking the refresh button.

    you know that the connection is secure if you see something that looks like a lock, like this...

Tips & Warnings
  • If you see no connections in the list, another program may be running the connection search.
  • If you do switch the connections you may lose an Internet connection for a moment.
