How to De-clutter your Purse!

Is your handbag a black hole that sucks your keys into a crevice of lint-covered mints? Use these simple steps keep your purse clutter free!

Difficulty: Easy

1. Dump it ALL out! Dump everything in your purse onto a clean surface. Sort into four piles: Trash! Coins! Paper! Keepers! Toss expired coupons, and leaking or non-working pens.
2. Only put back what is absolute essential! If you haven't used something in months, like a lint covered roll of Rolaids chances are you don't need them with you at all times. If your make-up bag is full of lipsticks you don't use on a daily basis, put them where they belong in your make-up drawer. You don't need a brush and comb, chose one! If your make-up case has a mirror in your eye shadow kit, you don't need an extra mirror. Lighten up the load!
3. Color Coordinate essentials! Buy three clear, colored, zippered bags. Small bags! The see-through bag will allow you to locate your item at a glace. The three different colors give you easy access to a complete kit at one time. Use one color for make-up, one color for checkbook, pen and coupons, and the other color for cell phone, address book and keys! Designate one zippered pocket for important receipts. If your purse doesn't have a zipper pocket, use a small envelope and place them in the checkbook bag. This system has the added benefit of changing your purse quickly into an evening bag.
4. On a weekly basis, pull out the three zippered bags and dump your purse out. Clean the lint and trash you've accumulated, restock your three zippered pouches and your ready to go again!
