Alibris is a third party book seller that allows book sellers to sell to a variety of different sites instead of simply on the host site. Sellers can choose the sites they wish to sell on. But to sell on Alibris, there are several strict requirements you must meet, as described below.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Apply to be an Alibris bookseller. Pay the application fee and describe your business and the level of experience you have with selling books online.
Step2
Get notification that your account is approved. Decide which markets you wish to sell your books through. Sign up for Books-A-Million, Barnes and Noble and other sites that will bring plenty of customers. Get your own Amazon Pro Merchant account through Amazon.com. Sign up your Pro Merchant account with your Alibris account in order to sell your Alibris inventory through Amazon.
Step3
Begin listing books after your application is approved. Use the ISBN numbers of the books to list them into the Alibris database. Accurately describe the conditions of the books you list and describe any discrepancies between your book and the stock information.
Step4
Choose your prices based on the competitors' prices for the same books. Check the competitor's prices and conditions before pricing your books so you can be competitive.
Step5
Keep your book inventory accessible in order to provide timely shipping to buyers. Fill at least 85 percent of the orders coming in to maintain your Alibris account.
Step6
Keep a valid credit card on file with Alibris to pay the monthly fee that is based on the size of your book inventory.
