The invention of email has given people the ability to communicate more quickly and more frequently with others on a large scale. The uses of email are constantly expanding. One of the major innovations is the ability to send attachments with emails. Sending attachments is a feature of the Yahoo! email service.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Go to the Yahoo! homepage.

  2. Step 2

Log in to your Yahoo! email account. If you do not have a Yahoo! email account, create one in order to send an attachment.

  3. Step 3

Click on the "Compose" button to create your email.

  4. Step 4

Write a message to the person whom you are sending the attachment and click the "Attach Files" button located just above the text box.

  5. Step 5

Click the "Browse" button to choose from the saved files on your computer. Yahoo! Mail gives you five immediate file options, which makes it faster to attach files.

  6. Step 6

Choose the file you wish to send as an attachment. If the file you wish to send is not a saved file on your computer, you must first save it.

  7. Step 7

Click "Attach Files" again and wait until the files are attached. Once you've chosen as many files as you wish to send, click the "Continue to Message" button.

  8. Step 8

Click the "Send" command. The file has been sent.

Tips & Warnings
  • To save a written document (such as a Microsoft Word document) click the "File" command, followed by the "Save" or "Save As" command. Make sure you remember what name you give the file so that you can find it later.
  • It is always a good idea to write at least a short message to the person to whom you are sending the attachment. This gives them a context in which to view your attachments.
