How to Become a Contract Delivery Service for the United States Postal Service

Understand exactly what the contract says and be prepared to fulfill the terms of the agreement and for the length of time specified.

      Visit the United States Postal Service's website to view the details for different types of contracts available, such as highway, rail and water and air. This information also includes eligibility requirements and how contracts are awarded.

      Be prepared to undergo a background check and fingerprinting. Although it is a contract position, the government will still give a thorough screening to anyone they are considering awarding a contract to.
