How to Play I Never

The game "I Never" is absolutely legendary. It is a great way to break down the social barriers among you and your friends, have a few drinks and learn some fantastically juicy secrets about the person next to you. Grab some plastic cups, a case of beer and get ready to learn "too much information."

Instructions

    • 1

Gather your friends in a circle. Have everyone bring a beer or libation of his choice along with them.

    • 2

Start with the person who suggested the game. It does give the person an advantage, but they took the risk to throw out the idea to play and be forever mocked.

    • 3

State a truism in the following manner. "I never [fill in the blank]." "I never kissed a girl at school," would be an example.

    • 4

Drink if you HAVE done the suggested action. In the example, everyone in the circle who had kissed a girl in school would have to drink his libation.

    • 5

Move around the circle playing continuously until you are either drunk, repulsed or really anxious to hook up with other people at the party. At which point, a whole new game starts.

Tips & Warnings

  • Add a dare quotient to the game. Sometimes as things get more and more risqué people no longer want to ask questions. Give them the option of completing a dare rather than asking a question. It's a nice way to break up the action and make someone jump through a lot of hoops.

  • Always designate a driver or make sure that people are exhibiting safe drinking practices. Nothing is worse than an end of the evening that results in an arrest or worse.
