A snow castle is a large snowball fortress protecting you from all your enemies who are pounding you with snowballs. There is no roof so you don't have to worry about cave-ins. And the level of the walls are staggered to allow you access to throwing snowballs right back at the enemy. The following steps teach you how to build a snow castle.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Roll seven long snowballs and place two on each side in a square shape. One side will have a doorway so only put one snowball on that side. The seven snowballs should be as long as you want the castle to be. You have started to form the walls.

  2. Step 2

Roll several more snowballs that are easy to lift. Place each snowball on top of the wall. Continue to place the snowballs all around the wall and build it high enough to protect you.

  3. Step 3

Pack loose snow in all the cracks of your walls. Continue to do this until the wall is a solid flat structure. The snow castle should now look like a box with an opening on one wall.

  4. Step 4

Roll several more snowballs and stagger them on the top of the wall. Do this by placing one snowball the size of a soccer ball and then leaving a soccer ball-sized space. Continue this pattern all around the castle. The open areas will be look out areas to throw snowballs back at the enemy.

  5. Step 5

Make a pretend drawbridge on one solid wall with sticks. Use rocks for the chains that hold the drawbridge closed. You must keep the drawbridge closed to protect you from your enemies. They will think that the entrance to the castle is in one place, while the real entrance is around back.
