Instructions
  1. Step 1

Round up eight to twelve of your friends to create eight to twelve teams to start your MLB fantasy league.

  2. Step 2

Locate a website that will host your fantasy league. Fantasybaseballhub.com and Thomasgeorge.com are two popular sites that will be able to help you with this.

  3. Step 3

Find a responsible and committed person who is willing to be the commissioner. Every league needs someone who is going to be in charge and handle the conflicts and tough decisions that will come up throughout the season.

  4. Step 4

Select your league. Decide whether you're going to use the both the National or American leagues or just one of them. Different fantasy leagues do different things, and you have to decide what's best for the league you're creating.

  5. Step 5

Decide how you're going to choose players. Maybe you're going to do the MLB-style draft or maybe you'd like to auction players off instead.

  6. Step 6

Determine the rules of the league. There needs to be solid rules in place to cut down on problems. When problems arise the commissioner will then have a rule book to reference and not just make decisions arbitrarily.

  7. Step 7

Set your league for fun or for pay. If it's going to be a pay league, then choosing the commissioner and setting the rules becomes even more important.
