How to Run for Secretary of the PTA
Serving your child's school through the PTA is will teach them that their school matters. Follow the charter. Most PTAs or family councils have an active constitution or charter in place to organize the group. In fact, it is often the secretary's job to keep it updated and available. Take a look at the document or ask current board members about the process of running for a seat on the board.

Involve yourself. Don't expect to be nominated or win a position without contributing and volunteering in other ways. Showing that you are dedicated to the group and the school wins you votes and displays your enthusiasm.
