    Instructions

    Things You'll Need

    • A griddle or frying pan
    • A mixing bowl
    • A whisk or a fork
    • Your favorite pancake recipe or pancake mix
    • Oil or butter
    • Fruit for decoration
      • 1

Mix together the ingredients for your favorite pancake recipe or use a boxed mix.

      • 2

Lightly oil the griddle or frying pan. Heat the griddle/pan on medium high heat.

      • 3

Pour or scoop the batter on to the griddle/pan.

      • 4

Make one large circle (the face) with the batter and two smaller circles (the ears) at the top right and left of the larger one.

      • 5

Make the smaller circles as close to the same size as possible. The shape you've made should be symmetrical. It should resemble the shape of Mickey Mouse's head.

      • 6

Flip the pancakes carefully once the three circles have baked together. Don't let the pancakes bake too long. Try to keep the batter somewhat soft.

      • 7

Make a face with your choice of fruit.

    Tips & Warnings

    • For the mouth, raisins or an apple slice will work nicely.

    • For the eyes, use marshmallows or small dabs of yogurt.

    • For the nose, use a cherry, grape or other small piece of round fruit.

    • Have your child help you with the pancakes. Let them suggest something they can put on the pancakes.
