The evil eye is a powerful communication technique, one that can inspire fear or guilt in those who are in its range. Giving the evil eye has been around for centuries, and it is one of the simplest and most useful tools for letting someone know you don't approve of them. Practice these steps to give the evil eye with confidence.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Find the person to whom you want to give the evil eye. Make sure that you are not seeking too hard or in any doubt about the identification of your recipient, because this takes away from the effect of the gaze.

  2. Step 2

Recall the event or reason you are giving this person the evil eye. This will increase the meaning and power behind your gaze. Focus on your intent as you prepare to launch the evil eye.

  3. Step 3

Squint your eyes slightly while thinking of the offense committed by your victim. The evil eye is evil, after all, so you want to make it intimidating but not silly.

  4. Step 4

Raise one eyebrow slightly whilst squinting. This gives the eye a more evil appearance and increases the malice that comes through in the gaze. It should feel like you could set fires with the power of your evil eye.

Tips & Warnings
  • Turning your head sharply away at the end of your evil eye can add tension and a level of disgust to your evil eye that is very effective.
  • Do not give the evil eye to someone who could possiblly beat you up for delivering the eye to them. Make sure you size up your evil eye recipient accurately before giving it.
