If you are an avid reader and collector of books, joining a book of the month club will save you a lot of money. Most clubs offer four or five books for a few cents a piece, plus shipping and handling. Most clubs also offer new members the chance to pick up an extra book for half the publishers price when they register. Read on to learn how to join a book of the month club.

  1. Step 1

    Decide what topics interest you. Are you a history lover? Do you enjoy cooking? Is romance your passion?

  2. Step 2

    Visit the new members' center of Booksonline, the company that operates the majority of book of the month clubs.

  3. Step 3

    Select the club (or clubs) that fits your interests.

  4. Step 4

    Peruse new members' book selections, and choose your introductory titles.

  5. Step 5

    Enter your personal information, including address and a credit card for billing. You may bill future orders to the same card or opt for payment by check after delivery.

  6. Step 6

    Add the book club sign-in page to your favorites for easy access.

  7. Step 7

    Accept or decline the editors choice each month either online or by mail-in card.

Tips & Warnings
  • Once you have joined a book of the month club, you will have access to the club's entire inventory.
  • Once you have fulfilled your club membership agreement you can request to stop automatic shipments.
