Instructions

  1. Wedding Decorations

    • 1

Begin with a classic cowboy color scheme of denim blue and bandana red.

    • 2

Arrange informal bouquets of daisies, sunflowers, and black-eyed Susans in recycled tin cans and glass milk vases.

    • 3

Create table centerpieces by placing a plastic container (such as a half gallon milk carton with the top cut off) inside an old cowboy boot. Fill each container with a bouquet of wildflowers.

    • 4

Cover tables with bandana printed fabric in red or blue.

    • 5

Replace the gift table with stacks of hay bales.

    • 6

String up clear lights to mimic a starry night on the open range.

    Wedding Attire

    • 7

Dress the entire wedding party in cowboy boots and Stetson hats.

    • 8

Adorn the bride and bridesmaids hats with fresh flowers. Attach a long piece of tulle or organdy to the bride's hat.

    • 9

Dress the bridesmaids in blue or red dresses, and add a coordinating gingham sash for a cowgirl look.

    • 10

Dress the groomsmen in denim jeans and dress jackets for a fun informal look.

    • 11

Ask guest to come dressed in their cowboy finest as well.

    Wedding Menu

    • 12

Offer an informal buffet with paper dishes and plastic flatware.

    • 13

Fill large galvanized washtubs with crushed ice, bottled beer and sarsaparilla (root beer).

    • 14

Serve hearty chili and jalapeno cornbread.

    • 15

Grill up thick steaks, ribs, and chicken for an authentic cowboy barbecue.

    • 16

Decorate the wedding cake with real rope and miniature cowboy and cowgirl figurines.

    • 17

Accompany cake with old fashioned berry pies, brownies and dark roast coffee.
