1
Understand that a demanding boss isn't necessarily a bad boss. If a boss is demanding of you, that means that your boss believes that you are capable of handling the demands. A boss usually won't waste time demanding something from someone who isn't capable of producing. A demanding boss can be demanding simply because they have high expectation of you. And in the long run, that can be a good thing for your career.
-
2
Tell your boss that you need written guidelines on what exactly is expected of you on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. This will help lessen the ambiguity and give you a better idea of what is wanted from your position. It also makes things more black and white so that you can be proactive in dealing with anything that may arise.

3
Ask for advice from co-workers who have worked under the same boss for a longer period of time than you have. A co-worker can tell you of experiences and what has or hasn't helped when dealing with the boss. Ask your co-worker in a professional manner and avoid any mudslinging directed at a superior.
-
4
Consult your human resources department if your boss is being abusive, treating you unfairly or administering unrealistic demands. Human resources will help you take the proper steps to correct the situation.

My bosse xpects me to work like a manager or an owner. Example: She wants me to take work home with me, stay later and later, expecting me arrange my childcare schedule even after I made a point of saying how important is that I leave at 4:00 on my hire day. (My husband has to work and we have one car) How do I approach her.I keep making my husband late & it is draining me. I don't want a manager job. I don't want to dedicate myself like that. I work VERY hard when I am at work & have even offered to come in extra day as long as Iam out by 4:00! WHAT DO I DO?! -
