Both analog and digital cable Moxi boxes have the ability for parents or adults to block unauthorized viewing of certain types of shows and channels. You can block shows by channel, rating, MPAA ratings of movies on the movie channels and the ability to stop the ordering of Pay Per View movies. Charges can rack up when ordering Pay Per shows and events, they can even be shocking when you didn't know they were being ordered.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Select "Moxi" on your remote to get to the onscreen Moxi menu. You will see several options for cable preferences here.

  2. Step 2

Scroll to the sides till you see the Settings Card option. Press "OK" and you will enter the Parental Controls menu screen. Again, there are more options available to you to help deter the watching of inappropriate material for children.

  3. Step 3

Scan the list using your remote arrow keys till you highlight the OnDemand or Pay Per View Movies option. Hit "OK" when your selection is highlighted.

  4. Step 4

Enter your four digit PIN to enter the next screen and gain access to changes. If you have not already set a PIN then contact your cable provider or Moxi cable box and remoter manual for the default code.

  5. Step 5

Choose the option for PIN Required. This is the step that makes it impossible for others that do not know the code to order Pay Per View, so be sure to select this option and highlight "OK."

  6. Step 6

Become familiar with the Parental Controls menu that it takes you to when finished blocking Pay Per View Movies. These options can be used to stop the viewing of other inappropriate shows and movies on different channels.
