Find a rock or punk rock show to attend. Check your local music scene paper or the web for show events.

Go to a rock show. Dress like the natives of the show, since often slam dancing is done at punk shows. The standard dress code is studded belts, spiked bracelets and dog chains.

dude, this is retarded, I have been slam dancind for years and none of this stuff applies, round here it is all at hardcore metal shows, and we never even look at the people we slam with, hell, if we get punched, its our own fault. u cant teach someone u have to watch. and trust me, even at punk shows, u don't have to dress like a punk, I have seen people in polo shirts and shit like that. u r just stereotyping hardcore dancers. and this is coming from someone who is a metal and hardcore kid.

oh my god.this is soo stupid. you cant instruct people how to dance,its all about the music if you're really feelin it,youll just start dancing,slamming,moshing,pogoing, whatever. 1.there is no 'standard dress' at punk shows,what you said is based on stereotypes,and there is no need to dress like the "natives"wth?i have seen many hip hop people at punk shows slam dancing and we respect them because they are true to who they are and dont have the need to 'dress up' 2.the"rock on"symbol is for faggots who have never been to a show and learned of slam dancing from a.hardcore dancing fags b.metalheads who think they started mosh. c.in some form guitar hero. lastly,any one who is poser,rock on symbol waver,or guitar hero ****(the same as a poser) will most likely get their ass kicked.
