If you are a body builder or just want to build up your biceps, consider purchasing a preacher curl. The beauty of the preacher curl is that it helps to isolate the biceps so that you are able to tone them and, according to one reviewer, help to fill in the space between the lower biceps and the elbow.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Decide what preacher curl bench you want to purchase. There are several models made by Yukon, Body Solid, GymTuff and more. You may find these online or at your local sports equipment store.
Step2
Buy an easy curl bar and weights, as many machines do not include them. These are also available online or at your local sports equipment store.
Step3
Adjust your bench to the proper height. Make certain your shoulders are elevated, or that you don't sit hunched over the pad.
Step4
Grasp the bar with your hands a shoulder's width apart.
Step5
Curl the bar toward your chin in a smooth arc, making certain not to swing or rock it as you curl it upward.
Step6
Lower the bar slowly, working the muscle the entire time.
Step7
Use individual barbells should you desire variation.
Step8
Repeat the preacher curl through the desired numbers of reps and sets.
