Things You'll Need:
- Craft glue
- Gold cord or ribbon
- String
-
Step 1
Cut halfway across the paper plates, from the edge of the plate to the center. Overlap the edges to make two cones and staple them together.
-
Step 2
Dip a small doily into a bowl of fabric stiffener until it is completely saturated. Let the excess liquid drip back into the bowl. This will be the top of the angel.
-
Step 3
Place a cotton ball in the center of a small doily and secure it with a rubber band. This is the angel's head.
-
Step 4
Drape a small doily over the small paper cone. Secure the back of the doily with a paper clip and spread the sides out to resemble wings.
-
Step 5
Lay the angel carefully on a piece of wax paper and allow it to dry completely. This will take 24 to 48 hours.
-
Step 1
Add a little bit of gold paint or glitter to the fabric stiffener.
-
Step 2
Dip the larger doily into the bowl of fabric stiffener, saturate well and wring the excess back into the bowl.
-
Step 3
Drape over the smaller cone. Arrange the skirt in "folds."
-
Step 4
Allow it to dry thoroughly for at least 24 hours.
-
Step 1
Glue the angel top to the skirt with craft glue. Be sure that the parts of the angel are dry first.
-
Step 2
Decorate the skirt with gold cord or ribbon.
-
Step 3
Make a halo with a small piece of cord or gold ribbon dipped in fabric stiffener and shape into a circle. Glue the halo to the back of the angel and allow it to dry completely before placing it atop your Christmas tree.
