Everyone knows losing weight can be difficult. But if you have a lot of weight to lose, say 30 pounds or more, it can seem nearly impossible, but don't despair. There's hope. It's going to take time, commitment and dedication but if you're serious about getting the weight off, just keep reading. A new day is dawning.

Instructions

Difficulty: Challenging

Step1
Consult your physician before you begin any workout plan.
Step2
Keep a food diary for a week and write down everything that you eat, and that means everything from the bagel you had for breakfast right down to that piece of gum you had after lunch.
Step3
Take note of what, when and why you're eating and make the necessary adjustments to your behavior. Changing your behavior is key to taking off the 30 or more pounds you're trying to lose. If you snack when you're stressed you will know that you will need to find something else to do during stressful times to help you lose weight.
Step4
Remove soda and processed foods (white pasta, rice and bread) and all those evil snack foods from your house. If you want something sweet to snack on you'll be forced to leave the house to get it.

Step5
Plan all meals and snacks as far in advance as possible. If you know what you're going to eat and when you're going to eat it you're less likely to snack.
Step6
Eat at least three meals and two snacks every day. Aim for six to eight small meals a day. It may seem crazy but the more often you eat the quicker you'll lose those 30 pounds because you'll be increasing your metabolism.

Step7
Walk every day for thirty minutes with no exceptions. As the weeks progress, add jogging or weight training to your program. You don't have to, but it will add some variety to your workout.
Step8
Change your workout routine every six to eight weeks. Your body will adjust to a workout and you won't see the same results unless you continuously adjust your workout.
