      Purchase an Idaho Fishing License from one of the many licensed independent dealers, located throughout the state. A list of fishing license dealers can be found at the Idaho Fish and Game Department website.

      Walk into any regional Idaho Department of Fish and Game office and purchase a license in person. Call the main office at (208) 334-3700 to find the office nearest you.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you are disabled and economically disadvantaged, you may be eligible for a Disabled Fishing Permit, which will require a letter from SSI, SSDI, or the Railroad Retirement Board.

  • Disabled American Veterans are eligible to apply for a special DAV Fishing License.

  • You may be eligible to purchase a Military Furlough Combination Fishing/Hunting License if Idaho is your official state of residence and you are on leave from military service.

  • Proof of Residency is required before issuance of any resident Idaho Fishing License.
