How to Get Rid of Customers

Get rid of customers? Who would do that? Sometimes they need to go or we need to go. They come into our business or home and try to rule the place. Then, they make a mess and destroy the displays by touching everything. We need them, but sometimes they need to go. Well, if you must get rid of them, here are a few ideas.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
Close the doors early. Don't do this on a regular basis because someone might think you are trying to get rid of them. Make sure there aren't too many people in the store. They seem to be much more vocal in a crowd. If it is just you and them, close the door, and start to busy yourself on something. Then watch them stroll right out of the store.
Step2
Place several buckets of water throughout the store. The buckets will cue that there is a problem and the customers will ask about it. If you just suggest there might be a problem, they will think twice about staying around, so make sure to make the "evidence" of the "problem" very noticeable.
Step3
Put a "Closed" sign out with the door unlocked. Sometimes we must close shop before it is time to close shop. If we put the closed sign out or flip the sign to closed, customers will get the message.
Step4
Start cleaning up like it is time to go. Put chairs on top of tables or take out the trash. Pulling out a vacuum cleaner always gives a sign of "time to go!"
Step5
Tell the customers that it is closing time or that you have to go out and there is no one to keep the store open. Being straightforward is always the most honest way to go. After all, you don't want to lie to them.
Step6
Give dirty looks. This always turns a person away. It's not very polite, but they will get the message and go running for the door.
