Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Black hooded sweats
  • Yellow felt
  • Hot glue or safety pins
  • Black shoes
  1. Step 1

Decide what type of costume you want to make for your infant. Choose a theme rather than a particular costume at first to make your search for the perfect animal costume easier. For example, decide if you want to make your infant a zoo, domestic pet or character animal costume.

  2. Step 2

Visit the Buy Costumes website and type infants in the search field. A listing of baby and infant costumes along with pictures displays. Click on the costume of choice to see a larger image and think about ways you could make the Halloween costume yourself.

  3. Step 3

Duplicate the animal Halloween costume as much as possible using items from clothing and fabric stores. You can make a bee costume by dressing your infant in a black hooded sweat shirt and sweat pants.

  4. Step 4

Purchase and attach yellow rectangular felt strips to the sweatshirt with hot glue, saftey pins or a sewing machine. Buy bee antennas from a hobby store. Spray paint an old pair of white tennis shoes black or use or purchase a black pair of dress shoes for their feet.
