1
Place a large clay pot saucer on the ground for one of the simplest do-it-yourself bird baths. Fill with water, and possibly some pebbles for added texture and decoration.
-
2
Purchase two clay pots in sizes that are one step up from each other. Invert the two pots and stack on a sturdy, flat surface to form a cone shape. This builds the base of the bath. Top with a clay saucer and fill with water.

5
Flip a large garbage can lid upside down. Clean it well and fill with water for an easy transformation birds will flock to.

Tips & Warnings
Place your bird bath in a wide, open area. Birds feel safer when predators, such as cats, can't be hiding in shrubbery or other spots near their bath.
