How to Open a Beer Bottle with a Lighter
It's a drag when you grab a cold bottle of beer only to find out there isn't a bottle opener in sight. But before you start crying in your beer, try opening it with the disposable lighter in your pocket.

- Moderate
Instructions
-
-
1
Wipe off any condensation that is on the bottle, so you can get a good grip on the beer.
-
2
Grip the beer bottle firmly at the neck in your non-dominant hand. The web of your thumb should rest snugly just below the bottle cap.
-
3
Insert the lighter between your forefinger and the bottom of the bottle cap. The optimum position is between the base of your finger and your first knuckle, with the lighter sticking straight out from the bottle and perpendicular to your finger. If the lighter is wedged in properly you should be able to hold the lighter in place with just your one hand.
-
4
Grab the lighter with your dominant hand, and pull down using your finger as leverage against the cap. The cap should pop off the bottle in one fluid motion.

Tips & Warnings
Don't use a metal lighter unless you don't care about the scratches that the beer bottle cap will leave. Flat-sided disposable lighters work best, but round-sided lighters will work as well with practice.
Always drink responsibly, and never drive a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

Kool! R we talking BIC lighter? Zippo? Or what...? And "does size matter" (or style, type, materials, etc)? I'm presuming from your description that the lighter is horizontal, long axis perpendicular to the bottle's long axis, right? Thx! -
