Find a Telemarketing Job

You have decided to try telemarketing, and it is time to start looking for a job in the field. Don't worry; you won't have to look very hard. Telemarketing jobs are usually the easiest jobs to find, since most telemarketers usually do not stay long. Try a few of these tips and you'll be manning the phone lines in no time.

Instructions

  1. Start With the Classifieds

    • 1

Buy both your local paper and the metro area's newspaper, if you live in a small town. Some employers cannot afford the larger paper, and some employers don't think anyone will see it in the smaller paper.

    • 2

Flip to the "Telemarketing," "Sales" and "Work at Home" sections of the want ads. These are the most likely places to find these jobs.

    • 3

Search online for a job. In any major search engine, type your city and state and "telemarketing jobs." See what comes up.

    • 4

Type "jobs" and your city and state if nothing comes up to see job search engines for your area.

    Go to the Store

    • 5

Go to the store you're interested in working for and check out their "Jobs Available" boards. Pick up one of the free flyers you see at the entrance or exit, or near the bulletin board. Chances are there will be job flyers. Note: This usually only works at larger department stores.

    • 6

Look through these flyers until you see any job that mentions telemarketing, calling from home or appointment setting.

    • 7

Call the flyer's creator if there aren't any telemarketing jobs. Chances are, they will know the telemarketing agencies in your area.

    • 8

Be sure to mention the flyer's name when you apply for the job.

Tips & Warnings

  • Keep looking. Telemarketing agencies pop up all the time.

  • Don't give up. If there aren't any jobs right now, there will be within a month or two.
