Step 1
Buy your local paper and the metro area's newspaper, if you live in a small town. Some employers cannot afford the larger paper, and some employers don't think anyone will see it in the smaller paper.
-
Step 2
Flip to the "Customer Service," "Retail," "Sales" and "Work at Home" sections of the want ads. These are the most likely places to find customer service jobs.
-
Step 3
Search online for a job. In any major search engine, type your city and state and "customer service jobs." See what comes up.
-
Step 4
Type "jobs" and your city and state if nothing comes up to see job search engines for your area.
-
Step 5
You need to know that customer service jobs can be really boring so the best thing for you to do is find a customer service job in a field that you like. If you're into computers, consider a gig that involves you trouble shooting PC problems with customers over the phone.
-
Step 1
Go to the store. Yes, that's right, dress up and go to the store that you're interested in working for. Pick up one of the free flyers you see at the entrance or exit, or near the bulletin board. Chances are they will be job flyers.
-
Step 2
Look through these flyers until you see any job that mentions customer service or sales.
-
Step 3
Be sure to mention the flyer's name when you apply for the job.
