Keep your cat safe when he plays outside

Your cat can have the best of both worlds: safety in the great outdoors. When you harness your cat, you don't have to worry about him getting lost or hit by a car.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • cat harness
  • leash
  1. Step 1

Clasp the long cross strap of the harness behind your cat's front legs.

  2. Step 2

Clasp the short cross strap of the harness around your cat's neck.

  3. Step 3

Attach the leash to the metal o-ring on the main strap of the harness.

  4. Step 4

Take your cat for a walk, or tie the leash to a railing or stake in the yard.

Tips & Warnings
  • Only put the harness on your cat when it's time to go outside.
  • If you tie the leash to a stake, make sure the area is free of obstacles. Otherwise your cat can become tangled.
  • Always use a harness instead of a collar. When attached to a leash, collars can cause the cat to choke.
