Book your trip as far ahead in advance as possible. Lech, Austria, is a very expensive area--more pricey than neighboring resort towns. It's possible to save a significant amount on accommodations and lift tickets if you are able to book your trip at the end of summer or mid-fall.

Take advantage of the 8-area system. While the Lech, Austria, area has close to 140 trails and the majority of them are ranked for intermediate skiers. If you're looking for a very demanding run, hop on a shuttle bus to another mountain--your lift ticket gives you access to most of them.

Bring some nice clothing. You're on vacation, but skier reports say that Lech's clientèle tends to be very high-class and well dressed. You might feel under-dressed if you wear jeans and a t-shirt to some of the resort's restaurants.

Hit the snowboard parks. Lech, Austria, is one of the only nearby ski areas with 2 extensive sections geared solely for snowboarders. These sections have snowboard terrain and half pipes.

Bring the kids to feed the high-altitude animals. Lech offers a special indoor petting and feeding area, as well as activity centers geared for children.

Enjoy all the amenities that Lech, Austria, offers. There are several open-air bars, a gym, indoor pool and even an indoor golf course. Other outside activities include night tubing, snowshoeing and ice skating.
