Visit the Green Mountain Club website to gather information about snowshoeing trails in Vermont (see Resources below). The Green Mountain Club has been maintaining and disseminating information about Vermont's skiing, hiking and snowshoeing trails for nearly 100 years.

Click on the "Take a Hike" button on the left side of the Green Mountain Club home page. Select "Winter" from the pull-down menu that appears.

Read important safety information that is specific to Vermont's trails. Notice that white blazes (camouflaged areas of deep snow) may cause you to lose the trail during snowshoeing season.

Visit a travel company such as Adventure Guides of Vermont to plan a snowshoeing vacation to Stowe, where trails into the woods and mountains are available(see Resources below).

Elect to stay in lodging with your own private bath for the most privacy during your trip. The cost of lodging is included in the charge for your inclusive Vermont guided snowshoe vacation.

Choose to share a bathroom with other snowshoe travelers to save some money on your vacation.
