When you decide to send an ecard to a family member or friends during the Kwanzaa season, you have a variety of styles from which to choose. Some have just a basic picture cover with a standard greeting inside, but others are actually animated and can have singing and music that are played when the recipient opens her card through her email.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Name and email address of recipient

Step1
Find an online greeting card company that specializes in sending ecards for free. A few to try are 123Greetings.com, BlueMountain.com and AmericanGreetings.com (see Resources below).
Step2
Select the ecard that you wish to send. Click on the "Personalize and Send" button or equivalent that will allow you to start the process.
Step3
Fill in your name and email address as well as your recipient's name and email address. Be sure that you accurately input the information, otherwise the ecard will be returned to you.
Step4
Type in a personalized message if your chosen Kwanzaa ecard company allows this feature. Some companies may charge a fee for personalization. If you choose not to personalize the card, you may choose a standard message such as "Happy Kwanzaa from your family to ours" or "Wishing you a happy Kwanzaa season."
Step5
Customize your card by choosing the font that you want. Many times, you can also choose your style.
Step6
Use the optional features. Some companies offer you the opportunity to download photos into the ecard.
Step7
Choose the delivery method. Most companies give you the opportunity to have a copy of the ecard sent to your email address, receive notification of when the ecard has been opened and receive notification if it has been over a certain amount of time and the recipient still hasn't opened the card.
Step8
Let your recipient know that he can respond by opening the link to his ecard, viewing the card and clicking on the "Reply" button. This allows him to create a new ecard to send back to you.

Tips & Warnings

  • Some sites require a membership and fee to view the entire ecard selection.
