How to measure iPhone traffic to your website using Google Analytics

Apple's iPhone has revolutionized mobile web browsing. But Google Analytics -- a favorite web traffic, trends, and stats-monitoring tool -- doesn't yet offer an obvious way to measure your web site's iPhone traffic.

Or does it? Here's a simple process to use Google Analytics to determine how many of your web site's visitors are using iPhones.

        Log into Google Analytics.

        The Visitors section

        Click on "Visitors" in the left navigation well.

        Browser Capabilities

        Click on "Browser Capabilities" to expand it.

        Screen Resolutions

        Click on "Screen Resolutions" to select it.

        Find...

        Select the "Find..." filter at the bottom, and type "396" into the search box. (396 is the height in pixels of the iPhone's web display.)

        The results displayed show your site's traffic from iPhones!
