Step1
Find out where the reunion is being held, and see if it is a formal or casual event. This is the most important factor in deciding how to dress for the reunion. Most high school reunions are formal events, but it is not unheard of for some to be more casual affairs.
Step2
Choose clothes that fit and flatter your body shape. Not all women are born with size 2 model bodies, so finding what fits and flatters your best assets is key. Black is always flattering, especially the little black dress. For plus sizes, a black pants suit is always a good, flattering choice.
Step3
Pick shoes that complement your outfit. Heels always make your legs look longer and give the illusion of a slimmer silhouette. Make sure you choose dressier shoes that are in the same color family as your outfit.
Step4
Dress in clothing that is classy and not overly revealing. If you plan to show some leg, make sure you're covered on top. If you decide to wear a plunging neckline, then keep your bottom half conservative.
Step5
Think business when dressing for a high school reunion. If the reunion is a more casual affair, try to keep your look along the lines of business casual—this would include such items as khaki or black pants with a nice button-down blouse or capri pants with a fashionable top.
Step6
Add accessories. The shoes and handbag should go well together. They don't have to match exactly but should have some sort of tie, whether it is in the color or style.
Step7
Wear what makes you feel confident. Going to a high school reunion can be nerve-wracking, but if you dress confidently, you will come off as a confident person. This is your time to shine and show all of your old schoolmates what an impressive adult you have become. If you have a dress or specific piece of clothing that makes you feel like a million bucks, wear it.
