How to Book a Flight Using CheapTickets

Launching as a 1-800 number in 1986, CheapTickets is a leading seller of discounted leisure travel products online. CheapTickets gives customers access to its collection of airfares on hundreds of airlines. In addition to air travel, the CheapTickets family of discounted travel products includes hotel accommodations, cruises, rental cars, vacation packages, condo rentals and "Last Minute Trips."

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Log on to CheapTickets and click on the "Flights" tab.

  2. Step 2

    Choose the "Flight" only option, or opt to pair it with hotel accommodations or car rental for an even better deal.

  3. Step 3

    Enter the details of your travel plans, including departure and arrival destinations, travel dates and the type of flight. Note the number of passengers traveling with you.

  4. Step 4

    Note any other flight options. Searching one day before and after your travel dates may lead to savings and more convenient flight times. Choose to book only non-stop flights, show only refundable fares or narrow the search to "my preferred airlines."

  5. Step 5

    Click "Search Flight."

  6. Step 6

    Review the flights presented to you, checking dates, times and costs. Click on the price associated with each flight to learn more.

  7. Step 7

    Select specific departure and return flights.

  8. Step 8

    Provide the names of travelers and review flight details as suggested.

  9. Step 9

    Click "Continue Booking" through the following pages if you'd like to avoid the offers for booking accommodations, entertainment and other trip extras.

  10. Step 10

    Enter traveler information including contact information, seat preferences and other details. Review the fare rules, terms and conditions and click "Agree and Continue."

  11. Step 11

    Provide payment information and finalize the purchase.

  • Be an early bird: Cheaper flights may be available if you book 21 days or more in advance.
