New Hampshire is a "shall issue" state. A carry and conceal weapon (CCW) permit will be issued to anyone who qualifies. You do not even need a permit to carry a concealed weapon in New Hampshire as long as you are not carrying ammunition. The following steps will show how to obtain a CCW permit in New Hampshire.

Instructions

Difficulty: Challenging

Step1
Apply to your issuing authority. This will be the selectman, mayor or chief of police of your town if you are a resident of New Hampshire. If you do not live in a town or you are not a resident, your issuing authority is the Permits and Licensing Unit of the New Hampshire State Police.
Step2
Request an application from the following address: Division of State Police, Permits and Licensing Unit, 33 Hazen Drive, Concord, NH 03301; or call (603) 271-3575.
Step3
Complete and submit your application to your issuing authority along with the permit fee, which differs between residents and non-residents. If you are not a resident of New Hampshire, you will need to include a copy of your CCW permit for the state in which you are a resident.
Step4
Receive your permit or written reason for denial within two weeks. Renew the permit every four years.
Step5
Refrain from bringing your firearm into a courtroom.
