1. Apply to your issuing authority. This will be the selectman, mayor or chief of police of your town if you are a resident of New Hampshire. If you do not live in a town or you are not a resident, your issuing authority is the Permits and Licensing Unit of the New Hampshire State Police.

3. Complete and submit your application to your issuing authority along with the permit fee, which differs between residents and non-residents. If you are not a resident of New Hampshire, you will need to include a copy of your CCW permit for the state in which you are a resident.
4. Receive your permit or written reason for denial within two weeks. Renew the permit every four years.
5. Refrain from bringing your firearm into a courtroom.
