Dating a surfer might be your father's worst nightmare but it could be tons of fun for you. The typical surfer's carefree attitude and toned tanned bodies are the perfect combination for a fun fling. Here's how to nab a surfer the next time you visit the beach.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Bikini or boardshorts
  • Surfboard
  • Cash for lunch or dinner
  1. Step 1

Visit the beach or move to a locale near a beach. It's impossible to date a surfer if you are not on a beach.

  2. Step 2

Find out where the surfers surf. You can call the local surf shops to find out where the best surfing is available.

  3. Step 3

Take surfing lessons and practice at the beach, preferably one that isn't filled with ace surfers. You don't want to embarrass yourself in front of a potential mate while you're still learning. Surfers like to date surfers, or at least someone who is interested in surfing.

  4. Step 4

Once you feel ready, visit the best surfing beach. You should at least be able to paddle out and stand up without falling.

  5. Step 5

Wear your cutest bikini or your coolest boardshorts before heading to the beach. Let's hope your body looks as good as or better than the other surfers on the beach. Most surfers like chiseled bodies.

  6. Step 6

Pick out a few potential surfer dates and try to make conversation. Compliments work well. "Nice wave" or "nice board" are starters.

  7. Step 7

Offer to buy lunch or dinner if the conversation goes well. Surfers burn tons of calories and they need lots of food. Take him or her to the spot of their choice and hopefully romance will ensue.
