Instructions

    • 1

Get your Freddy Fedora. Any old hat will do, preferably in a dark color, and well-worn. You want to look like you just crawled out of the boiler room.

    • 2

Get your Freddy sweater, a red and green striped number, grimed up and singed in the right places.

    • 3

Some dark pants and shoes complete the ensemble.

    • 4

No Freddy costume would be complete without the Freddy glove. Many varieties are available online, but you also can make your own. Combine any random glove with a series of sharp spikes that you can fashion out of anything from beef skewers to broken umbrella parts. Glue on one spike for each finger. Throw ketchup on for some gore.

So you have all your Freddy gear. Only one thing's missing: the face. You can buy a Freddy masks at costume shop, or dab some soot on your face. You also can apply some professional make-up that simulates burns.
