On your wedding day you will have millions of stresses running through your head. Some of these may be superstitions. Whether they involve your dress, your groom or the weather, there are ways to help you deal with wedding superstitions.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Keep your fears at bay. There are hundreds of superstitions out there, and they will always be a part of the wedding tradition. When they are being thrown at you, just relax. Keep in mind that you are about to get married, and it is the marriage that is important.

  2. Step 2

Know where they come from. It is nice to keep your heritage in mind when you decide to follow wedding superstitions. Take a look at your background, and cling to the ones that speak to your ancestry. This can help you deal with wedding superstitions by paring them down to a manageable size.

  3. Step 3

Be realistic. Weddings are planned months in advance. Because of this, there is no way to determine what the weather will be like on your big day. Deal with wedding superstitions by assuming the worst and hoping for the best. It is supposedly good luck if it rains on the big day--even if you planned an outdoor wedding.

  4. Step 4

See the funny side. The bride's bouquet was originally herbs to keep away evil spirits. This means that you can't take stock in every traditional thing that revolves around a wedding. Some are silly and some are romantic. The important thing to remember is that you should hold onto the ones that hold a special place in your heart, and not the ones that keep getting tossed at you as your day approaches.
