You made it through the planning, the wedding ceremony and the reception. Now it's time to relax and have fun with your new spouse. Your honeymoon is meant to be an occasion to celebrate the beginning of your lives together, and you don't need a lot of extra baggage to do that. Leave that extra baggage behind and pack light for your honeymoon.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Travel size containers

Step1
Pack only the clothes you need for your honeymoon. Choose clothes that you can mix and match. Keep your choices to one item for each occasion such as one pair of jeans, one swim suit and one formal outfit.
Step2
Use travel size containers and share common items with your spouse. Think about items that you and your spouse both use such as contact solution and toothpaste. Pack only one of each common item in a travel size container to keep your suitcases light.
Step3
Call the hotel where you will be staying and ask what items they provide at no charge. Standard hotel benefits are free shampoo, conditioner, an alarm clock and a hair dryer. Leave these items out of your suitcase to keep it light.
Step4
Change your beauty habits for your honeymoon. Use less makeup and hair products so that you can keep these items out of your suitcase. The two essential beauty items to take are sunscreen and a comb or hairbrush.
Step5
Be selective with shoes. Limit your choices to one comfortable pair of walking shoes and one pair of formal shoes. Buy a cheap pair of flip flops on your honeymoon if going to the beach.
