2. Use travel size containers and share common items with your spouse. Think about items that you and your spouse both use such as contact solution and toothpaste. Pack only one of each common item in a travel size container to keep your suitcases light.
3. Call the hotel where you will be staying and ask what items they provide at no charge. Standard hotel benefits are free shampoo, conditioner, an alarm clock and a hair dryer. Leave these items out of your suitcase to keep it light.
4. Change your beauty habits for your honeymoon. Use less makeup and hair products so that you can keep these items out of your suitcase. The two essential beauty items to take are sunscreen and a comb or hairbrush.
5. Be selective with shoes. Limit your choices to one comfortable pair of walking shoes and one pair of formal shoes. Buy a cheap pair of flip flops on your honeymoon if going to the beach.
