To encourage the guests at your Tiki Party to assume the laid-back attitude of the tropics, you should provide laid-back tropical drinks. Follow the steps below to match the drinks with your theme.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Ice
  • Coconut drink recipes
  • Pineapple drink recipes
  1. Step 1

Choose anything made with coconuts. A Tiki party would not be complete without a variety of coconut-flavored drinks such as Almond Joys, Pina Coladas and Tropical Dreams. Go to the Malibu-Rum website for an extensive list of coconut-flavored drinks.

  2. Step 2

Think tropical. There are many tropical drinks from which to choose. A few good examples are Bahama Mama, Mai Tai, Bay Breeze and Sea Breeze.

  3. Step 3

Serve beer, but make sure it is from a place that conjures up pictures of endless beaches and warm breezes. Sure, you can have Corona, but you should broaden your horizons to Dos Equis or Red Stripe.

  4. Step 4

Buy non-alcoholic beverages with a Tiki theme. Virgin Daquiris and Pina Coladas are good matches.

  5. Step 5

Try pineapple. If you aren't a huge fan of coconut drinks, choose those that are made with pineapple such as a Bahama Breeze or Pina Borracha (Drunken Pineapple).

Tips & Warnings
  • Buy fun coconut-shaped glasses for your tropical drinks.
  • Buy pre-made mixers for drinks such as Pina Coladas and Margaritas to save time.
  • Use fresh ingredients whenever possible. Canned varieties leave your drinks tasting sour.
  • Have more than one blender ready. Laid back or not, nobody likes waiting for drinks.
