How to Make a Haiku

If you love martinis and you love sake, then you have to try something called a Haiku. It's perfect with sushi or Korean barbecue or just when you are relaxing at home. Here's the quick and easy way to make a Haiku. Does this Spark an idea?

Ice
2 oz. sake
Vermouth (splash)
Cocktail onion
Martini glass

Instructions

  Chill the martini glass in the freezer for about 30 minutes.

  In the shaker combine the sake, ice and vermouth. (If you like your drinks dirty, you may add a splash of olive juice or onion brine.)

  Cap and shake your shaker until well-mixed.

  Strain your drink into your chilled martini glass.

  Garnish your drink with an onion or two, and you are set. Sit back, relax and enjoy the dry taste of your Haiku made from sake.
