Step 1
Test the range of your laser pointer at night by trying to hit trees or buildings off in the distance.

Tease your dogs or cats by lighting the floor or walls in front of them and watching them chase after the light.

Go to your local pet store and shine the laser into the fish tanks from a distance. Most fish will rush towards the light. If you can do this secretly, you can really mess with people looking at the tanks; they won't see the light, just the fish darting around.

Place the laser beam on an inquisitive parrot's perch and the bird likely will try to bite it.

Take a class where the professor uses a laser pointer. When she turns her back to use the pointer, secretly point at something else on the board to confuse her and the rest of the class.

Use mirrors to bounce the laser around corners.
