How to Make a Hamburger Casserole

Things You'll Need
- 2 lbs. hamburger
- 1 onion
- 1 bell pepper
- 1 12-ounce can chili, without beans
- 1 can stewed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 small package macaroni
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 6 pieces sliced cheese
- Small bag tater tots
- Skillet
- Bowl
- Sauce pan
- Casserole dish

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Cook the macaroni on the stove in a sauce pan as directed on the package or boil until soft.

Chop the onion and bell pepper.

Brown the hamburger, bell pepper and onion on the stove over medium heat.

Drain the grease from the browned meat, onions and peppers.

Blend the chili, stewed tomatoes and tomato sauce in a bowl.

Mix the tomato sauce and tomatoes with the browned meat.

Add the ketchup, garlic salt, pepper and cooked macaroni to the mix. Stir until well blended.

Grease a casserole dish with cooking spray or regular butter.

Pour the mix into the 9-by-13 casserole dish.

Shred the cheese.

Sprinkle the cheese and tater tots on top of the hamburger casserole.
