Many people serve their Asian dishes with rice. But for an alternate carbohydrate, consider serving sesame breadsticks on the side. Here's a quick and easy recipe to make Sesame Seed Breadsticks in minutes.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Baking sheet
  • Foil
  • Non-stick spray
  • 1 can refrigerated soft breadsticks
  • 1/2 stick of butter
  • Pastry brush
  • 2 tbsp. sesame seeds
  1. Step 1

Pre-heat your oven to 375 degrees.

  2. Step 2

Cover your baking sheet with tin foil. Then spray your non-stick spray over the foil.

  3. Step 3

Pop the can of breadsticks. Unroll them onto the baking sheet and separate them from each other. Leave ample space between each breadstick; they will enlarge while baking.

  4. Step 4

Microwave your butter in a coffee mug or small bowl for about 45 seconds or until melted. Place a paper towel over the bowl to avoid splattering.

  5. Step 5

Spread melted butter over each breadstick using your pastry brush.

  6. Step 6

Sprinkle your sesame seeds liberally over the uncooked breadsticks. Don't worry about perfection here. Most of the seeds will stick because the butter will act as an adhesive.

  7. Step 7

Bake your breadsticks for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove them from the oven and serve hot.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make Sesame Seed Breadsticks ahead of time and freeze them. The breadsticks will last up to 3 months in the freezer. When you want them, pop them in the toaster oven for a couple minutes. The outside will turn nice and crusty, and the inside will be piping hot.
